I’m Hal; digital product designer and leader, sporadic photo snapper, purveyor of sarcasm, father of two, and avid pants wearer.
I grew up in Oslo. Then I lived in Boston, San Francisco and Seoul. Now I live in Sydney.

I provide design strategy and hands on consulting services to a variety of clients while searching for my next challenge as a digital product designer and leader.
Recently
I served as Head of Product Design at Nine where I lead a team of designers tasked with looking after the full digital product experience of The Sydney Morning Herald, The Age, Brisbane Times, WA Today, The Australian Financial Review, Nine.com.au, the Nine radio brands, as well as sub brands like Traveller and Good Food. We designed everything from the websites and apps, to the newsletters and the back end systems powering these amazing publications that reach millions of Australians every day.
